Disenchantment not affairs main cause of divorce
31 Aug 2011
Last year more couples separated because they simply 'fell out of love' rather than got caught having an extramarital affair according to research by law firm Grant Thornton. It seems that only 25% of divorces were instigated by spouses cheating and 27% from spouses just being generally bored. It seems that this could be due to the large number of 'celebs' who seem to treat extramarital affairs as little more than a hobby and this attitude is being reflected in the wider population. This is good news for cheating partners who wish to avoid divorce but be careful you don't 'bore' your spouse.
