Tory minister has secret affair with socialite mistress? Conservative Cabinet minister Lord Strathclyde has been accused of having a secret affair with a socialite mistress, despite having been married for 20 years.

The leader of the House of Lords is alleged to have been playing away from home for seven years with Birgit Cunningham, with their last liaison taking place on January 14th.

Ms Cunningham is a single mother and a former friend of Liz Hurley.

Rumours regarding their adulterous relationship surfaced after Ms Cunningham sought the minister's help in her battle with the Child Support Agency.

The blonde ex-lover of Kevin Costner said: "I'm talking about this now because I'm fed up of this government's hypocrisy and how they preach to us about family values.

"They make speeches about it yet, at the same time, a senior cabinet minister and friend of David Cameron is sneaking away from his wife to have sex with me."

Despite these rumours of infidelity, friends of Lord Strathclyde told the Daily Mail they are sure the couple will get over this allegation.
