Women attracted to masculine-looking men

Men who are looking for a bit on the side may want to consider butching-up their look, as new research has revealed that fertile women are attracted to macho-looking men.

Researchers from the University of Colorado at Boulder and the University of New Mexico have found that women who have partners who are not masculine fantasise about having a macho man, reports AOL Health.

It also found that women who already have a macho man do not become more attracted to them over time.

University of Pennsylvania psychiatrist Dr Christos Ballas told the news provider: "Basically, you want what you can't have.

"It's like the male 'I wish I had a blonde' thing. Whatever you have, you fantasise about the other. It doesn't mean that blondes are better for mating."

This may account for why people look for a bit of nookie away from their spouse, as they simply desire what they are not allowed.
