Take your extra-marital lover to Edinburgh's Hogmanay

After Christmas, many people who are enjoying the benefits of an adulterous relationship may be considering taking their extra-marital lover away for a romantic break.

If so, they could consider visiting Edinburgh for the Hogmanay festival, which takes place between December 30th and January 2nd.

Jenni Steele, senior PR manager UK & Ireland at VisitScotland, said: "The great thing about New Year in Edinburgh is you can dip in and out of events and attractions as you go around the city as everything is pretty close together and you just keep discovering things as you walk around."

She added that visitors to the city can enjoy shopping and indulge in "super restaurants" as well as enjoying the Hogmanay festivities.

Should unfaithful couples decide to head up to Edinburgh for Hogmanay, they can enjoy a raft of entertainment, including music, poetry, literature, sport and dance.

There will also be fireworks, which may well take place in the bedroom as well as out.
