Older men seeking a bit of nookie
8 Dec 2010
Men aged between 75 and 95 still want a bit of nookie, new research has revealed.According to a long-term study by researchers at the University of Western Australia, one in three older men are still sexually active at least once a year.
The survey also revealed that 43 per cent would like to have sex more often and four men of the 2,783 surveyed said they had too much sex.
Sharon Reed, of Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, commented on the findings of the research.
She told USA Today: "People don't expect their grandparents to be doing these things. The brain is the most powerful sexual organ we have, and if their brains are still wanting that, we should encourage it."
The research also revealed that the men who were still sexually active had less significant health problems.
Of the sexually active men in this age group, 57 per cent said they were satisfied with their sex lives.
