People should be careful when flirting online
3 Dec 2010
People looking online for an extra-marital affair should be careful when using social media, following the publication of a new report.According to the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, social networking sites are now one of the primary sources of evidence in divorce proceedings that have been instigated in response to alleged affairs.
The vast majority of divorce lawyers (80 per cent) said there has been a sharp rise in the number of cases they involving evidence of cheating obtained from social media sites.
Everything from flirty messages to incriminating photographs can be used as evidence of unreasonable behaviour.
Those considering looking for a bit on the side might therefore prefer to use a dedicated site, such as Loving Links, where they can privately chat with like-minded people and arrange extramarital dates.
According to the Daily Mail, Divorce-Online revealed last year that one of the most common complaints in divorce proceedings is that one of the members of a marriage has been having sexual chats online with people they shouldn't have been.
