Take your extra-marital lover to some 'authentic events' in Tenerife

People looking to take their extra-marital lover on a romantic getaway may like to consider taking them to Tenerife, where they can see some "authentic events".

Pia Louw, travel industry director at the Tenerife Tourism Corporation, said that most tourists who visit the island are unaware of the traditions that take place.

He said: "We have local festivals, places that are not in the normal tourist [areas]. We are trying to recover those places, those traditions and festivals and offer them to the [visitors].

"If the tourists get to see them and enjoy these unknown places on the island, they are going to be highly surprised and of course, highly satisfied."

Mr Louw added that visitors should hire a car and visit different parts of Tenerife as the north and south are very different.

One of the local festivals that unfaithful men may like to take their mistress to is the Night in White, which takes place on November 27th.

On this night, the streets and squares of La Laguna will be filled with cultural and sport activities, music, theatre and leisure.
