Women enjoying the benefits of an adulterous relationship may want to consider cooking their extra-marital lover a meal.

That is because new research has found that half of men prefer a meal cooked by their partner than they do eating out, the Express reports.

However, women who lack skill in the kitchen should probably take heed that one in ten men said they would break up with a woman if she could not cook - if this is the case, a restaurant may be the best option.

The survey was done by Giovanni Rana, a chef who has a company that produces a range of fresh pasta.

Findings revealed that the food which most impressed men was Italian, garnering 40 per cent of the male vote.

So women looking to wow their lover with some home-cooked married dating should consider Italian, as while you impress him in the kitchen, he may be more inclined to impress in the bedroom.
