Back pain may be responsible for adulterous relationships
12 Oct 2010
People may be playing away from home because their partner has back pain, as a new study has found this ailment to be the UK's biggest passion killer.Back support manufacturer Dynaspine surveyed 8,000 adults and found that 55 per cent of people in the UK suffer from back pain, the Daily Mail reports.
Of these, a quarter said they avoid strenuous activities such as sex, which may lead a partner to look for a bit on the side.
However, Dr Ralph Rogers, a skeletal specialist at the London Orthopaedic clinic, told the news provider that many people mistakenly think sex is bad for backache.
He is quoted as saying: "Actually lying still in bed is one of the worst things you can do … The spine is designed to move, not stay still, so using a back support which allows the spine to move is really important."
So anyone suffering from a sore back should consider getting a bit of nookie - be it from a partner or an extra-marital lover - as this may help move the spine while also reliving tension elsewhere.
