Treat your mistress to an event to remember in Monaco

Unfaithful men looking to take their mistresses on a romantic getaway should consider Monaco as there are many events to take part in throughout the year.

Michel Bouquier, president of the Monaco Tourist and Convention Authority, said that the attractions in the sovereign city-state may well make a stay that little bit more memorable.

He said: "In any season there is a major event going on. A special event that you go to, will make your stay even more memorable.

"We're talking entertainment, we're talking high quality. Generally we are four and five starred hotels. So we are a luxury destination."

Sporting fans looking to take their secret affair abroad may also want to consider a trip to Monaco during the Grand Prix.

This is because the Monaco Grand Prix was found to be the greatest sporting experience to watch in the Lonely Planet Awards, taking poll position with 19.87 per cent of the votes.
