Victoria Beckham stands by husband through adultery rumours

Victoria Beckham has shown support for her footballing husband amid rumours of adultery.

It has been widely reported that prostitute Irma Nici claimed to have had sex with the Los Angeles Galaxy player five times, but Beckham has vehemently denied these rumours.

Following these allegations, it has also emerged that a couple are getting a divorce because the husband believes his wife to have had a bit of nookie with Beckham.

In an interview with Marie Clair magazine, Mrs Beckham explained that she did not believe these rumours and that her marriage was stronger than ever.

She told the news provider: "We are still so close, David and I. We were at a party the other day at my mum's house and I was sitting on his lap. We're very affectionate.

"Before I became famous I used to think there's no smoke without fire. But believe me, there can be a fire without smoke."

This is not the first time the footballer has been accused of being unfaithful. In 2004, Rebecca Loos alleged that Beckham had been playing away from home with her, an incident his fashion designing wife chose to forgive.
