Romance 'very much alive'

4 Oct 2010
Romance 'very much alive' Those indulging in an adulterous relationship may be interested to hear that romance is still "very much alive" and there are many instances of women being romantic and wanting romance.

That is according to Dr Sheri Jacobson, psychotherapist at Harley Therapy, who claims that romance has not lost out to technology.

She said: "I think there are plenty of instances where romance is very much alive.

"When I think of what romance means, I mean its formal expressions of love. Gestures that are helpful, kind, loving and caring. I think that romance doesn't necessarily mean being carried off on a horse and carriage."

Her comments follow research by Austin Reed which found traditional forms of romance have been replaced by gestures more fitting with people's modern lifestyles.

It found that women now consider it gentlemanly to text regularly, take out the rubbish and make her a cup of tea in bed in the morning.
