It has 'never been easier' to stay in touch with your extra-marital lover

Those enjoying the benefits of an adulterous relationship are lucky as it has "never been easier" to stay in touch with an extra-marital lover.

Denise Knowles, relationship counsellor with Relate, a company providing relationship counselling and sex therapy, said that technology has meant couples who can not be together all the time can share intimate moments.

She said: "It's never been easier to stay in touch with one another. When we are talking about intimacy we are not necessarily just talking about sexual relationships.

You can send a flirtatious text or a nice email and you can actually see one another on webcam and things. There are ways of maintaining that intimacy.

She added that there are some benefits to having a relationship which needs work to keep in touch.

Mrs Knowles claims that in these relationships, home lives involve dealing with mortgages and bills, but when they are together they "get all of the good bits".
