Spend more time with your extra marital lover

Those currently enjoying the benefits of an adulterous relationship should make sure they are spending enough quality time with their extra-marital lover.

That is because people are spending more time at work meaning that relationships, such as a secret affair, may suffer as consequence.

Paula Hall, relationship psychotherapist and author of 'Improving Your Relationship for Dummies', claims that people are putting more physical and emotional energy into their jobs, which is having an adverse affect on relationships.

However, she believes that setting boundaries and developing communication are key to making sure work does not have a negative effect on a relationship.

She said: "Setting appropriate boundaries will also help you to protect your couple time.

"That might mean carving out definite times of the week to be together, banning the Blackberry from the bedroom and setting a time limit to work related talk."

Ms Hall's comments were made following research by recruitment agency review website HireScores, which revealed that half of Brits blame work commitments on the breakdown of a past relationship.
