Saying 'Hello' the best chat-up line
17 Sep 2010
Although a recent survey suggested that women like cheesy chat-up lines, an expert has claimed the best way to get a bit of nookie is by simply saying "hello".Dr Petra Boynton, of University College London, claims that it is a waste of time thinking of chat-up lines to use on a prospective mistress, when a "hi, how are you?" works just fine, the Daily Mail reports.
Her comments follow men being advised to give women 'backhand' chat-up lines such as "I like your nails, are they false?".
Dr Boynton told the news provider: "Most women who are confident and assertive will be offended or certainly think it is odd."
"All the while most people are just waiting for somebody to say 'Hello'. Chat-up lines generally don't tend to work because they seem very contrived."
So the next time you spot a prospective extra-marital love at the bar, an uncomplicated greeting may be more likely to lead to a bit of bedroom fun.
