Coronation Street to have adultery storyline

Coronation Street is preparing for an adultery storyline, in which Leanne Batterbsy Battersby gets caught having a bit on the side with ex-husband Nick Tilsley.

The pair are caught having a bit of nookie by Leanne's future father-in-law Ken Barlow, who must then decide whether or not to tell his cheated son, The Sun reports.

A source told the news provider: "Leanne is wracked with guilt over the affair. She loves Peter, she loves his son Simon and they've been through a lot together - but Nick was her first love and she never got over that.

"Ken knows Peter is no angel, but blood is thicker than water and his loyalty is to Peter."

However, as Peter has also had an adulterous relationship, he may be more willing to forgive his fiance's infidelity.

In 2009, Peter was happy to embark on some steamy action with Michelle, despite her being in a relationship with Luke.

Those currently enjoying the benefits of a secret affair may enjoy the storyline as it may give them helpful hints on what to do if they too are caught playing away from home.
