Women look for good looks and sex appeal in extra-marital lover
14 Sep 2010
Women after a bit of nookie with an extra-marital lover will be on the look out for good looks, sex appeal and masculinity. That is according to a new survey of 2,800 Australian women, which revealed that women find these traits just as important as having shared interests, beliefs and values, the Sydney Morning Herald reports.
This may come as a surprise to many people enjoying the benefits of an adulterous relationship, as traditionally men are supposed to look for attractiveness as a quality in their mistress, whereas women are considered less shallow.
Researchers from D&M Research found that the five most unattractive qualities women consider men to have are dishonesty, anger, chauvinism, bad hygiene and rudeness.
Derek Jones, managing director of the research company, told the news provider: "Women rarely nominate physical attraction when asked what they want in a male partner but clearly it is important to them even if they are not necessarily that open about it.
''The key attributes they will always want in a male partner are a sense of humour, compatibility and a loving and caring nature. But, clearly, it doesn't hurt if the guy is good-looking as well.''
