Sex toys can improve 'overall satisfaction'

Using sex toys while getting a bit of nookie with your extra-marital lover may improve the "overall satisfaction" of the sex session.

That is according to sex and relationship expert Dr Kat Scarbo, who said that sex toys can also improve communication within a relationship.

She said: "Adding toys to a couple's bedroom repertoire can improve communication and overall satisfaction with sex.

"I suggest toys and adult videos to clients to give them permission to explore what works for them in the bedroom. Overwhelmingly, nearly all my clients have reported that incorporating these items has lead to healthier, happier relationships." 

Dr Scarbo's comments were made following a US survey by adult product website Adam & Eve, which revealed that 82 per cent of adults use sex toys during their bedroom antics.

Chad Davis, marketing director for the company, said that the findings indicated that a growing number of people were taking a positive attitude towards sex and sexuality.
