Chat-up lines can lead to a bit of nookie

Adulterous men may be interested to hear that when courting a mistress, chat-up lines may well lead to a bit of nookie.

That is according to recent research by online casino mrgreen.com, which revealed that around 40 per cent of women have gone out with men who approached them with a chat-up line.

Kat McClure, UK manager of the casino, said: "Chat-up lines may be cheesy but it looks like the mark of a true gent here in UK could be his opening one-liner after all.

"Women like a guy with a good sense of humour, and a good chat-up line can be a great way of displaying that men have one."

She added that using a chat-up line also shows confidence, which is another attribute many women find attractive.

The survey also revealed that men favour the "cheesy" approach, with a fifth believing that a corny chat-up line is a great way to break the ice.

So the next time you spot a prospective extra-marital lover, why not bite the bullet and say: "I've lost my number, can I have yours?", as it may lead to sex.
