Third of Brits getting a bit of nookie in public One in three adults in Britain has had sex in a public place and 43 per cent of people claim that they did not know that getting a bit of nookie in the great outdoors was a criminal offence.

These are the findings of a new survey by TV channel Alibi, which revealed the nations law-breaking habits.

Londoners are the most likely to be found taking their bedroom antics into the public, with 36 per cent admitting to doing so.

Steve Hornsey, the channel head of Alibi, said: "These shocking statistics show that even with the best intentions many people cross the line in breaking the law."

It was also revealed that as long as they didn't get caught, four in ten people admitted that they would continue to break the law.

This news may not surprise those engaging in an adulterous relationship, as finding the right spot to get a bit on the side could sometimes become a frustrating routine.

The other law which Brits admit to breaking include parking illegally and stealing from work.
