Adulterous relationship responsible for hit record

A secret affair was the inspiration behind Scottish duo Diagram of the Heart's new album.

After frontman Kye Sones found out that his unfaithful girlfriend had been getting a bit of nookie elsewhere, he was given the impetus to write new album Dead Famous, reports the Daily Record.

Songs such as Gone for Good and Skeleton reveal his emotive feelings on discovering his girlfriend's playing away from home.

Sones told the news provider: "I was in bits, all January and February, but it was a great thing too, because it inspired all these songs. The negative turned into a positive."

The band are now set to play a host of summer festivals, including T in the Park and Ibiza Rocks.

This may come as good news to those currently enjoying a bit on the side, as should your cheated spouse find out, they may end up releasing a hit record.

Other best-selling songs about cheating partners include tracks by Dolly Parton, Marvin Gaye and Justin Timberlake.
