Hindi film looks at infidelity

Mr Singh/Mrs Metha, a new Hindi film by director Parvesh Bhardwaj, has been courting controversy ahead of its release for the infidelity and nudity portrayed.Set in London and starring British actress Aruna Shields, the story tells of two people who come together after finding their respective partners have been playing away from home.
Reports suggest a number of actresses passed up to the chance to play the role of Neera Mehta because of the film's bold subject matter and nude scenes.
However, Ms Shields told Mid Day: "Posing nude for a scene in the movie wasn't that difficult as I'm very comfortable with my body and when I do a film, I donate my body to the script.
"The scene has a very artistic approach and has been shot in a very neat manner. I am not scared of controversies."
Embarking on a discreet relationship is a particularly delicate issue for many Indian communities because of the practice of arranged marriages, which can leave many feeling unsatisfied and in need of an extra-marital lover.
