A bit of nookie should be rated on quality rather than quantity

A bit of nookie should be rated on quality rather than quantity Sex should be rated on quality rather than quantity, so those enjoying an adulterous relationship should not worry if they find they do not have a great deal of time with an extra-marital lover.

Writing for the Guardian, Pamela Stephenson Connolly, who is a clinical psychologist and psychotherapist specialising in treating sexual disorders, says that people should take time over a lover.

She writes: "Make sure he spends the necessary time for you to become aroused, especially prior to sex. Some people find that deliberately slowing down really improves their love-making overall – for both partners.

"Try not to obsess about the lowered sexual frequency; quality is more important than quantity."

Ms Stephenson Connolly adds that a reduced libido is part of the natural aging process but that this does not affect sexual pleasure.

So next time adulterers get the opportunity to indulge in a bit of nookie with their secret lover, they may want to consider surprising their partner by slowing down for a better performance.
