World Cup may affect extra-marital dating

World Cup may affect extra-marital dating Those enjoying a secret affair may find their partner's performance begins to lag over the coming month as football fans opt to stay up into the early hours for FIFA World Cup highlights.

Brazilian sexual health specialist, professor Monica Andersen, claims that sleep deprivation has an adverse effect on the libido, stuff.co.nz reports.

Speaking to the news provider, Andersen said: "People's body clocks are out, they're not prioritising their sleep and their sex life is suffering.

"The problem is that people are very aware of their sexual life but they don't seem to be aware of the massive impact that their sleeping patterns are having on it."

Those playing away from home while watching the England squad do the same may want to take note that staying up late to watch the football may result in their extra-marital lover getting a bit of nookie elsewhere.

Along with a lower libido, Asiaone.com reports that sleep deprivation can also cause seizures, strokes, chest pain and heart problems.

Football fans should therefore think twice before choosing to watch late night World Cup highlights over spending time with their mistress.
