Stop bad mouthing me about secret affair, warns LeAnn Rimes

Adulterous US country star LeAnn Rimes has reportedly demanded that her partner's ex stops bad mouthing her.

A source close to the star's boyfriend Eddie Cibrian claims that the singer's lawyers have sent a cease and desist letter to his estranged missus, Brandi Glanville, E!Online reports.

Rimes has accused Cibrian's cheated spouse of making slanderous remarks about her at the time the pair began their then secret affair almost two years ago, the source states.

However according to Ms Glanville's defence lawyers, the comments were made before she realised the two were involved in an extramarital relationship and were subsequently stopped when she learnt the truth.

Last week, Rimes admitted to People magazine that her unfaithful relationship with Cibrian started after the pair met on the set of TV movie Northern Lights in November 2008.

The Can't Fight the Moonlight singer told the news provider that while she apologised for causing any possible upset to their marital partners, she did "not regret the outcome".
