Unfaithful soap star is a bit of a 'Jack' the lad

In a storyline that would not be misplaced in the soap he stars in, Coronation Street actor Jack P Shepherd has got his mistress pregnant.

Shepherd, who plays troubled son of Gail Platt, David, admitted to cheating on his long-term girlfriend Lauren Shippey with a 25-year-old girl from Leeds.

The admission was made when it emerged that his bit on the side told him she was expecting their child and could no longer contain their secret affair.

Despite being a doting father to daughter Nyla, it seems that the 22-year-old Corrie star proved to be a bit of a 'Jack the lad' while on one of his regular nights out up north.

A source told People magazine: "Jack is often out in Leeds with friends at least twice a month.

"Lauren rarely goes with them, because she prefers to go out in Manchester with their mutual friends there."

Shepherd's girlfriend, also aged 22, has as of yet not stipulated that she will leave her unfaithful partner, with the star hopeful they can survive his playing away from home.
