Some women 'prefer not to know' about infidelity
30 May 2010
While many men feel so guilty that they often admit their adultery to a partner, not all women would actually want to know, it has been reported.According to the Daily Mail, a number of women spy on their partners and are inherently untrusting - believing that all men would have a bit on the side if the opportunity presented itself.
However Lucy Cavendish wrote in the paper that she would not want to know if her husband is cheating on her.
"This is a concept most women struggle with. Yet why would I want to know?" she wrote.
"What effect would it have on my family and I? It would turn me into a screaming harpy, demanding to know where he was every second of the day and becoming rigid with paranoia like most other women I meet."
One such woman might be Demi Moore, who is reportedly obsessed that her young husband Ashton Kutcher, 32, might indulge in a secret affair.
A source close to the 47-year-old told Star Magazine she is reportedly jealous of his kissing scenes with Natalie Portman, 28, in their upcoming film Friends with Benefits.
