Cheating: is what's in the jeans or genes that counts?

Cheating: is what's in the jeans or genes that counts? It comes as no surprise to Derek McGovern that Ronan Keating was caught playing away from home.

The sports betting guru believes the odds were always stacked against him.

Writing for the Mirror, Mr McGovern states that it intrinsic to male behavior to get a bit on the side.

"Cheating is part of men's DNA. I'd say 50 per cent of the male motivation to cheat can be found in a man's genes, the other 50 can be found in a woman's jeans," he claims.

While he distances himself from the droves of unfaithful men, he admits that most men will cheat if they think they can get away with it.

Indeed, he believes "most men will cheat if they think they can't get away with it".

His comments come as more and more celebrity men who are seemingly engaged in wholly monogamous marriages are actually getting a bit on the side.

With the public sweethearts' Ronan Keating and Mark Owen both admitting to adultery this year, it seems that infidelity is indeed gaining popularity and perhaps acceptance.
