Men more likely to be unfaithful
19 May 2010
Women may indeed be the fairer sex after a study suggests that men are more likely to be unfaithful.A survey commissioned by the Science Museum and carried out by OnePoll, reveals that the average British male will tell three lies each day, a total of 21 a week or 1,092 every year.
In comparison, women are more modest with their pork pies, shedding just 728 dishonest statements annually.
The study could go a long way to explaining why it seems there are more adulterous men than women, in the celebesphere at least.
2010 has been a breeding ground for male adulterers, with A-listers such as Tiger Woods, John Terry, Mark Owen and David Boreanaz all either being implicated in or admitting to secret affairs.
The survey, of which the results will be on display at the British Science Museum this summer, also revealed that almost one fifth of people think lie detection is acceptable to use in everyday life.
However, this is unlikely an opinion that will be shared with those who are married but looking.
