Phone firm to foot the bill for adultery?

Phone firm to foot the bill for adultery? A woman in Canada is seeking to sue her mobile phone network provider after an itemised bill exposed her infidelities.

Gabriella Nagy from Toronto claims that Rogers wrongly included details of her unfaithful communications as part of a service provider update sent to her marital address.

While the mother had set up the mobile phone account in her name, her husband contacted the company to create a broadband package in 2007, resulting in the mobile phone bill being bundled together with the corresponding information for that address.

Ms Nagy therefore claims that it is at the fault of Rogers, which is Canada's largest mobile phone service provider, that her husband became suspicious about certain entries on the bill, which subsequently exposed her secret affair.

One way to avoid such catastrophes could be to arrange for itemised phone bills to be sent to a separate location, such as a works address.

Alternatively, those who are married but looking could always cancel postal correspondence and check their accounts online, which they can do while browsing married dating websites.
