American TV host denies infidelity US TV personality Matt Lauer has shrugged off claims of infidelity.

The 52-year-old, who hosts America's popular TV programme Today, was recently accused of getting a bit of nookie with a woman 26 years his junior.

The incident reportedly happened while he was staying in Vancouver during the 2010 Winter Olympics.

However, in an interview with US magazine People, Lauer denied the claims stating that his wife of 12 years Anette, along with the pair's children, had been with him at the time of the alleged adultery.

With previous accusations of playing away from home haunting his past, he did however admit that things have not always been easy.

"Have we had a completely perfect, easy marriage? No. But the stories you've read over the years are not true," he told the news provider.

It comes in the same week that Braveheart actor Mel Gibson was accused of being unfaithful to his ex-girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, as reported by the National Enquirer.ADNFCR-2938-ID-19778826-ADNFCR
