Cheated spouses are 'green with envy'

The spectrum of human emotions has long been depicted as having a colour to match the disposition of your character.

Traditionally, black is a sign of inner anger and turmoil, while red is said to show you are burning with passion and desire.

However, according to the Chinese, those who sport the colour green do so to convey they have been implicated in a bout of infidelity.

For instance, men who have been cheated on by an unfaithful partner often wear a symbolic item such as a green hat to alert their contemporaries to their spouse's extramarital liaisons, Reuters News reports.

Martin Richenhagen, who heads an international company which regularly trades in the Asian country, told the news provider his firm is careful to avoid marketing green products there in case it leads business allies to think they have been playing away from home.

While in the UK something as simple as a green garment may not be enough to alert your cheated spouse to your infidelities, other everyday activities could point to your adulterous ways.

Many celebrities, namely Vernon Kay and Ashley Cole, have been caught out getting a bit on the side by evidence left on their mobile phones.
