Brazilians given licence to get a bit of nookie
27 Apr 2010
For many who are married but looking, getting a bit of nookie will come naturally. However, for those who are new to extramarital intimacy, the recommendation of one Brazilian health minister could come as welcome advice.
In a bid to keep his South American community fit and healthy, Jose Gomes Temporao urged people to increase their bedroom activity.
"Dance, have sex, keep a stable weight, do physical exercise, and above all measure your blood pressure," he commented.
Strengthening his argument, he also revealed that regular sexual encounters can help cut the risk of chronic illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer.
"It's not a joke. It's serious. Having regular physical exercises also means sex, always with protection of course," added Mr Temporao, highlighting the importance of playing safe when playing away from home.
Brits who are involved in secret affairs may wish to take his advice, which is supported by various studies that have indicated that sex brings a range of health benefits such as reduced stress and lower blood pressure.
