Hopeful romantics most likely to be unfaithful It may seem like a romantic notion, but men who believe in love at first site are the most likely to have a bit on the side.

According to research from European relationship specialist PARSHIP, 42 per cent of men who believe in instant chemistry had played away from home in a relationship.

This compares to just 14 per cent of men who take at least two weeks to fall in love.

Sue Ostler, relationship author and flirt expert, said: "If the guy is a player and a great big flirt, dishing out the fancy lines and the el smootho compliments faster than a speeding bullet, then you can be sure he will be just as likely to dish them out to the very next woman who takes his fancy."

The survey also reveals that men with a tendency to get a bit of nookie are also much more prone to multiple secret affairs than women, with an average of 3.4 infidelities compared to women's average of 1.2.
