Men want a bit of nookie, women want a secret affair

Men want a bit of nookie, women want a secret affair A new study suggests that men and women may hope to gain contrasting experiences from their extramarital liaisons.

In a poll of over 220 people in the US, researchers at Madison University in Virginia found that the majority of men prefer 'hooking up' through a casual sexual encounter, while women are more inclined to seek a relationship.

Those who are married but looking may wish to take heed of the findings to ensure they get the most from their unfaithful encounter.

Adulterous men in search of a bit of nookie may need to take care that they do not attract an extramarital partner who wants a long-term commitment.

Likewise, unfaithful wives may benefit from liaising with suitors over the internet first to make certain of their intentions.

However, there is some research to suggest that women are, like men, also keen to get a bit on the side.

A study commissioned by Bayer Healthcare, to mark the 50th anniversary of the contraceptive pill, found that almost four in ten women (39 per cent) had slept with a partner by their third date.ADNFCR-2938-ID-19710125-ADNFCR
