Double act survived infidelity but sadly not the test of time They survived a public revelation of infidelity, the barriers of racism and infertility.

But, after 25 years together Britain's top comedic couple have decided to go their separate ways.

Lenny Henry and Dawn French confirmed today that their seemingly rock solid celebrity marriage is over.

A spokesman for the couple said they decided to separate last October and have since been living together "in constant, open and honest discussion" as to where their relationship would go.

However, while the dynamic duo may no longer be sharing the same marital bed, friends of the stars claim that they will remain close friends and will continue to support each other and their adopted daughter.

In 1999, Henry was accused of having a secret affair with an Australian receptionist, a revelation which many thought would rock their relationship.

But despite his supposed infidelities, the pair enjoyed a long and happy marriage together, reaching their silver wedding anniversary last October.ADNFCR-2938-ID-19707696-ADNFCR
