Beards can cause friction in an extramarital relationship Men who are married but looking may want to think twice about growing that much treasured facial fuzz.

According to relationship expert Alanna Kalb, author of the upcoming book Stuff Every Woman Should Know, overgrown beards can prove a prickly problem for lovers.

In an interview with lemondrops.com, she reveals that many women become the victims of shave burn caused by their partner's unruly stubble.

And a rugged beard, no matter how manly and attractive it looks, could potentially land a mistress or female extramarital lover in hot water with her cheated spouse.

The smell of another man's aftershave coupled with a suspicious facial rash is a sure fire giveaway that she has been getting a bit on the side, or at least a kiss, from another man.

However, as many men consider a blossoming beard to be their prized possession, Ms Kalb advises women to approach with caution before asking him to dig out the razor blades.

"Much like wearing lumberjack plaid, beards make men feel masculine. And men like to feel masculine," she told the news provider.ADNFCR-2938-ID-19696848-ADNFCR
