Male adulterers could take tips from author

Men who are married but looking could benefit from following a few dating tips on offer from an American writer.

In an interview with the Chronicle Herald, Ellen Rakieten, co-author of Undateable: 311 Things Guys Do That Guarantee They Won't Be Having Sex, says that there is "nothing sexier" than a man with confidence.

Following interviews with hundreds of women, she found that fashion no-nos such as mesh tops, hair highlights, sandals worn with socks, comb-overs and the age old classic Speedos were some of the style errors that represent a "kiss of death".

In order to woo your extramarital lover however, it seems that personal confidence will pose as the substance over your style.

"If you have a little swagger and confi¬dence, that's good," she told the news provider.

"In the end, what women really like is a man who knows what he likes and has the balls to stick with it. If you want to wear your double denim and you don’t care, then great. Go with it."

While the title of Rakieten's book may suggest that there are many men out there failing to get a bit of nookie, new research suggests otherwise.

A poll by Bayer Healthcare revealed that four in every ten women admit to sleeping with a partner by their date.
