Actress offers infidelity advice
23 Mar 2010
While Julianne Moore's latest on-screen character may use a prostitute to catch out her adulterous husband, this is not something the star says women should do if they suspect infidelity. For adulterous husbands who feared her latest film Chloe may drive women to desperate measures to expose their secret affairs, they will be pleased to know her advice is a lot more amicable.
The fiery redhead, who has been married to second husband Bart Freundlich since 2003, told the Express that women should talk to their partner if they suspect they are having a bit on the side.
In an interview with the news provider, she said: "Having been married for a long time and having friends who were married a long time I can't tell you the phone calls I've gotten from somebody saying, 'Listen, I have to talk to you about this because I think he's doing X'.
"I think there is a tendency within relationships to sometimes turn out for information with a girlfriend before you talk to your husband about it. I have seen that a lot; people asking outside the marriage for advice."
Many celebrity couples have survived bouts of unfaithfulness of late, including England footballer John Terry and his wife Toni.
It is testament to the fact that adultery does not signal the end of a lasting and committed relationship, especially as it becomes increasingly common.
