An American dating expert has issued a key piece of advise to actress Jennifer Love Hewitt following her alleged break-up with partner Jamie Kennedy.

Writing for the Huffington Post, Julie Spira, author of a popular internet dating book, said Hewiit should join the realm of online suitors if she wants to have the pick of the bunch.

Ms Spira says dating websites can allow people to introduce themselves to multiple people without any initial commitment. She advises people to take their time and find someone who feels right for them.

In addition, Ms Spira reveals that increasing numbers of high profile celebrities are taking to the virtual dating game. Joan Rivers, Brad Pitt and Everybody Loves Raymond star Brad Garrett, have all been linked to dating online.
