Holidaying in Spain may land adulterers in hot water
16 Mar 2010
It sounds like the perfect combination - sun, sea, sex and a sizzling liaison with a secret lover, but playing away from home this summer could land cheating spouses in hot water.Adulterers thinking of whisking their extramarital lover on a romantic summer holiday may want to stay clear of Tenerife after it was revealed as a baby-making hotspot.
In a poll of 500 couples who conceived their babies on holiday, newly launched travel website Tenerife.co.uk found that 36 per cent of respondents fell pregnant while romancing in Spanish resorts.
However, of those who fell pregnant only one in five said that it was something that had been planned, with the remaining couples being given more of a holiday souvenir than they bargained for.
Obviously this would have more damaging ramifications for those being unfaithful to their other half so it could be best to play it safe in the sun this summer and that doesn't just refer to wearing sunscreen.
Of course if you don't want the burden of a love child complicating your secret affair you could always opt for the less physical act of sex texting or 'sexting' which has taken the celebrity world by storm.
Just be sure to erase any erotic communication with your SMS mistress or, like fellow philanderer Ashley Cole, you could be caught out playing away from home.
