What men really want on a first date
9 Mar 2010
There is often a lot of talk about what women want, so it's easy to disregard the needs of the male counterpart. However, an American author has unveiled some top tips to keep men satisfied, which could help turn that first date into an exciting secret affair.
Rachel Greenwald, author of Have Him at Hello, told the Huffington Post the most important word to leave at home before your first encounter is "never".
According to Miss Greenwald the "never-ever mistake" can make you seem non-negotiable and closed to possibilities, something that will not bode well with an extramarital lover who may be looking for a more flexible adulterous relationship.
Women are also advised to at least pretend they are willing to pay for their half of the bill. Of the 1,000 men questioned, 84 per cent said they are more than happy to foot the bill as long as it is acknowledged and appreciated.
She also found that men still prefer to do the chasing and are put off if their date texts or emails them the next day.
So whether you are looking for a bit of nookie or a extramarital lover, the old saying sticks; 'treat 'em mean to keep 'em keen', but just make sure you're not mean with your money.
