Adulterous Ashley may start secret affair with wife

England footballer Ashley Cole could be about to start a secret affair with his own wife following allegations of infidelity.

According to the Daily Mail, cheated spouse Cheryl Cole has agreed to hold "secret talks" with her husband this week and has not ruled out reconciliation.

The pop star's determination to fight for this love has been made even more evident after she has appeared on top form at all of her public appearances, including performances at the Brit Awards and the Danish version of X Factor over the weekend.

According to the news provider, one friend close to the star told the News of the World: "She's insistent this is only a trial separation and is carefully considering if there's a way she can move the relationship forward."

It would not be the first time Cheryl has forgiven her husband following rumours of a secret affair.

In 2004 he was alleged to have had a bit of nookie with another woman shortly after their marriage.

Fellow footballer's wife Victoria Beckham has also lent her support to the singer.

The former spice girl is herself no stranger to adultery, maintaining a strong marital relationship despite allegations that her husband David Beckham had a bit on the side with Rebecca Loos.
