Partners should 'enlarge their concept of love'
19 Feb 2010
Anyone who catches their partner with a bit on the side will know they have a tough decision ahead of them.According to Hollywood actor Jeff Bridges, all marriages will have their difficult patches, but the secret to a long-lasting union is to reassess what's important to you at these junctures.
Speaking to the Metro, the Crazy Heart star said: "If you're married you'll have tough times and you draw a line.
"If your partner crosses that line you say: 'Well is that it?' or: 'Am I going to enlarge my concept of what love is?'"
That will be precisely what the wife of Tiger Woods will have been asking herself over the past several weeks, following the fallout over revelations of the golfer's multiple infidelities.
Woods has scheduled a press conference for today (February 19th), where it is widely expected he will apologise for his actions, however reports suggest his wife may have forgiven him.
Bridges, meanwhile, has previously dealt with the issue of infidelity - on screen - in the film The Door in the Floor, which also stars Kim Basinger.
