Infidelity is a game of two opposing halves

Infidelity is a game of two opposing halves It's an age old saying; 'men are from Mars and women are from Venus' and when it comes to infidelity this couldn't be more true.

According to a new poll by discount code website MyVoucherCodes.co.uk, the difference in the sexes throws up some very contrasting views about having a secret affair with an extra-marital lover.

In a study of 1,456 people, 92 per cent of women said they would dump their partner if they were caught having a secret affair, but only 83 per cent of men would take the same course of action.

However, there is good news for male adulterers as more than half of the ladies questioned said that although they would initially end the relationship, they would probably be inclined later to give it another go.

Jumping to the defence of Vernon Kay and Ashley Cole, following revelations of sex text affairs, some 57 per cent of men said that they didn't think this counted as playing away from home, while 86 per cent of women did.

Mark Pearson, managing director of MyVoucherCodes.co.uk said; "It seems that both men and women have varying views on what they consider to be cheating, whether it be texting or sex with another person."

Meanwhile, a survey in the Sunday Telegraph's Stella magazine confirmed the gender conflict. It found 27 per cent of men think humans are not designed to be monogamous, compared to just 14 per cent of females.ADNFCR-2938-ID-19621009-ADNFCR
