Tess Daly all smiles despite husband's text affair

Tess Daly has appeared relatively unscathed following revelations of her husband's secret text affair.

The Strictly Come Dancing presenter was spotted in Soho, London, where she was seen sporting a big smile and her wedding ring, showing the world she has not given up on her marriage.

Husband Vernon Kay, who is also a TV presenter, was forced to apologise to his wife on Friday after it emerged that he had an SMS mistress.

The 35-year-old was caught sending "smutty" text messages to 23-year-old model Rhian Sugden in a long-running "sext" affair.

While he wasn't playing away from home in the traditional or sexual sense of the word, he was certainly unfaithful to his wife, something he is keen to make amends for.

Meanwhile, an excerpt from Tess's new book, The Baby Diaries: Memories, Milestones and Misadventures, reveals how she never thought Vernon was the monogamous type.

According to Heat magazine she wrote: "As gorgeous and as much of a laugh as Vernon is, and as much of a brilliant husband and father as he has turned out to be, he didn't immediately strike me as settling-down material."
