Women 'prefer nice guys'

Women 'prefer nice guys' It's a common assumption that women love a bad boy, but a new survey shows that actually, it's the nice guys who do best with the ladies.

According to the BBC, a study conducted in Canada found that women prefer men who appear generous.

This is the case whether they are looking for a long-term relationship or a fling, so men seeking an extra-marital affair with a lady should take note.

Of course men and women often think in different ways, and the study seems to confirm this.

Indeed, while men appreciate generosity in a potential long-term partner, it can put them off if all they want is a bit of nookie.

"This could be because men fear that altruistic women will be too interested in other things and not enough in them," explained Dr David Lewis, a member of the British Psychological Society.

Meanwhile, a survey by popcorn brand Butterkist has revealed that when meeting a potential new partner, women look for a nice smile and a sense of humour, while men like to see a great body and an ample cleavage.
