Toni Terry: John's infidelity will make us stronger

Following news of his secret affair with lingerie model Vanessa Perroncel, footballer John Terry looks to be back in his wife's good books.

Speaking to OK! magazine, Toni said she is willing to give her husband another chance and believes his infidelity will make the couple stronger.

"Whenever we have hard things to deal with in our marriage, it always brings us closer," she insisted. "Even though we've been together for ten years, we're still learning about each other."

John Terry allegedly had an extra-marital relationship with Ms Perroncel, who is the former girlfriend of his England team-mate Wayne Bridge.

Last week, a friend told the Daily Mirror the sportsman had assured his wife that the affair was just a "silly fling" and that Toni was prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt.

However, his apologies didn't appease England manager Fabio Capello, who decided to sack him as the England captain and replace him with Rio Ferdinand.
