Nancy Dell'Olio hopes Toni will forgive Terry Nancy Dell-Olio, the former partner of Sven Goran Eriksson, has said she hopes that Toni Terry can forgive her husband John for his infidelity.

The property lawyer, who stuck by the ex-England manager following his secret affairs with Ulrika Jonsson and Faria Alam, said the young couple could still salvage their marriage.

John Terry is alleged to have been involved in an extra-marital relationship with Vanessa Perroncel, the former girlfriend of his teammate Wayne Bridge.

His wife Toni has since flown to Dubai with the couple's twins, although reports last week suggested that she had spoken to John on the phone and she was willing to give him another chance.

Speaking to the Sun newspaper, Ms Dell-Olio, said that while she cannot excuse the footballer's behaviour, it must be recognised that everyone makes mistakes.

"Only Toni knows of their love for each other and if she sees real remorse, I hope she will have the strength to forgive him," she stated.

"It will be very hard and it will take a lot of time but if they try as much as they can I think they can come out of this even stronger."

Ms Dell-Olio also urged England football fans to support John Terry when the national team competes in this summer's World Cup and not to attack him.
