5 Feb 2010
You're having a bit of dilemma. You want to treat your extra-marital lover this Valentine's Day, but you also have to make sure your other half is happy. If you don't have the time, or the money, to lavish attention on both of them, then you might welcome the findings of a new survey by chocolate brand Rolo.
It shows that 84 per cent of people would be happy with a kiss and a cuddle from someone special on February 14th.
So forget spending large amounts on jewellery, candlelit dinners and sexy underwear, and just focus on small gestures this year.
Psychologist Anjula Mutanda said kisses and cuddles show your partner that you're thinking of them and that you care.
"Small gestures are the building blocks for a strong relationship," she remarked.
In terms of your marriage, kisses and cuddles may allay suspicion and help you keep your secret affair just that.
And as for your bit on the side, a little affection will no doubt help to keep the passion alive.
